Cream Of The Earth - arranged by gibsReview by C64_Gamer, 17/09/2022 The original of this mod had Jan Hammer's fingerprints all over it. You can spot elements of both Miami Vice and Beverley Hills Cop in the sounds used and the rhythm. So, although this remix keeps much of that rhythm, the sound and atmosphere of the original have vanished. I'm not looking for a 1:1 copy but I feel that this remix misses many of the subtle musical references that are in the original which immediately transport us to the early 90s. My only other gripe with it, is that the arrangement doesn't take the tune to anywhere new or fresh. I know i'm criticising somebody with an enormous reputation as a remixer but I feel this is a good remix and nothing more. |

Space Harrier - arranged by Peter ClarkeReview by C64_Gamer, 21/08/2020 Peter set a standard with his cybernoid 2 remix and he's done it again with this version of Space Harrier. The bassline drives it throughout and the whole thing is uplifting & catchy. Mixing & mastering sound impeccable. Superb remix. |

Cybernoid II - (The Alt-Rock Mix) - arranged by Peter ClarkeReview by C64_Gamer, 12/05/2020 Mr Clarke, I thought it would be difficult for you to match your most recent, ROTY-winning remix. So, you've come at us from a different angle. This is a brilliant new remix. Giving this tune the Prog-rock treatment is inspired. Technically, it's tight and the riffs, licks & flourishes lift it beyond the title ofremix. There's so much original creation here but I guess that's what an old-school, game-music composer can do. Outstanding! |

Defender of the Crown (The Elf's Story) - arranged by Peter ClarkeReview by C64_Gamer, 05/10/2019 This really deserves it's place, high up in both charts. Just the 1st listen tells you how good the quality of this soundtrack is. I can't imagine how long it took to make or how much work went in to get the attention to detail that is here. |
